The Greatest Gift of All

All of us face challenging situations. The comfort is in knowing that you’re not alone, and you don’t need to be afraid. Jesus can penetrate your dark days with “good news” and “great joy”:

“Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring good news of great joy which will be for all the people” (Luke 2:10).

God doesn’t promise we’ll always have an easy life, but He DOES promise to be with you throughout life’s struggles.

God loves you so much that He was willing to send His only Son to die for you so that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life (John 3:16).

A gift of that magnitude is beyond our comprehension. Take a moment to pause and reflect on the depth of His love for you. He wants you to succeed against any challenge that comes your way.

If you believe that your heart has not been open to receive His blessings, here are three important steps to change that:

  1. Ask the Holy Spirit to convict you of any unbelief, unforgiveness, pride, or poor choices.
  2. Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to Scripture passages concerning your specific areas of struggle.
  3. Ask the Holy Spirit to keep you aware of Satan’s strategies to rob you. Use the mighty spiritual weapons God has given you (2 Corinthians 10:4).

Remember, the Bible says God’s people often are “destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). Quite simply, we forfeit many of the Lord’s blessings because we don’t know the necessary steps to receive them.
