Tara L. Cole is a teacher, wife, and mother to three active boys. She has taught communications and writing courses since 2007 at various universities in Oklahoma, both in person and online. She is currently a communication faculty member at Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology, and a recipient of the 2019 Award for Teaching Excellence from the National Institute for Staff & Organizational Development and the 2020 Regents Distinguished Teaching Award.
