A Faithful Father
•1 Minutes“For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.” Matthew 6:8
If you are a father, you remember watching your young children giggle with joy. Maybe you stood by their beds and watched them sleep in perfect peace without a care in the world.
They knew their daddy was there to make sure they were safe from harm.
Maybe you had a loving father like that, too…or maybe you didn’t. Because of your own father’s weaknesses, you may view God as stern or harsh and uncaring.
On this special day for fathers, remember God is kind and loving. He is a faithful Father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5). He’s not like any earthly father – even the very best ones. He’s a perfect, a gracious, merciful, caring father. He’s Abba – our trustworthy DAD!
I am praying for you today, asking our loving Heavenly Father to heal any broken places in your heart and to reveal Himself to you as a loving, kind heavenly Father. No matter what you are facing this Father’s Day, you are dearly loved with an everlasting love by your Father in Heaven.
