God’s Loving Care: Victory in His Goodness

Inspiration MinistriesBy Inspiration Ministries3 Minutes

God is good. He loves you no matter what you’re going through, no matter what you’re feeling, and no matter what you’ve done. His love is amazing!

However, if you read something like the above paragraph when you’re going through difficult times, the pain, fear, or unbelief may yell at you louder than the above truth. In essence, it can sometimes be hard to rejoice in God’s goodness when you’re going through painful circumstances.

In fact, until you experience desperate circumstances, it’s hard to be absolutely sure about the goodness of God. Your belief in God’s loving care has to be tested in the fire before you know for certain it’s a part of your very being.

Here’s a question for you. How would you respond to a life-altering experience? For many, when we hear disturbing news, our minds immediately play games with us, causing us to imagine something terrible.

Then we react either with panic, disbelief, anger, or more. We feel as though our heart is being ripped in half and all the air has been knocked out of our lungs. We may even find ourselves falling to our knees, unable to hold ourselves up, feeling as though we’re all alone. But you’re not.

Your Purpose in Life

Even though human emotions can often cause you to react in a way that’s far from the promises of God’s truth, He is fully aware of what’s happening. “He is mindful that we are but dust” (Psalm 103:14). He understands when we fall apart and why the sadness, fear, or frustration can’t seem to stop.

But because of the goodness of God, He wants to help you “walk through the valley of the shadow of death” (Psalm 23:4) without faltering. After all, your purpose in this life is to become like Jesus, and there’s no better way for that to happen than for you to trust Him in the midst of adversity (Romans 8:28-29). The longer you walk with Jesus, the wiser and more experienced you will become.

The Lord has so many wonderful blessings in store for you. Are you open to accepting them? Are you aligning your thoughts, words and conduct with His Word? Can you demonstrate to Him that you’re placing your attention on your Heavenly calling instead of your earthly circumstances?
