Preach the Gospel

Navy Seals. Army Rangers. Israeli Special Forces. Delta Force. British SAS. Green Berets. Marine Raiders. These legendary teams are all highly trained, highly effective military units that have performed some of the most heroic missions in history.

From rescuing hostages to bringing global terrorists to justice to leading the charge onto some of the most famous and important battlefields, the brave men and women of these units are often referred to as the “Tip of the Spear.”

As the Tip of the Spear they are the first to engage and clear the path for their fellow soldiers.

They have helped turned the tide of battle on many occasions and have often been the difference between victory and defeat.

There was a man named Jim Elliot who knew what it was to be the Tip of the Spear.

Perhaps you’ve heard of him?

Jim was a missionary to the native Indians in Ecuador. Jim gave his life in fulfilling his mission.

His life and death were featured in an incredibly moving film titled “The Tip of the Spear”.

He knew that it was possible that his efforts would cost his life. But he went anyway.

I am astounded by such courage.

I am humbled by such commitment.

I know God doesn’t call all of us to go to Ecuador. But we ARE each called to tell others. Jesus said…

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15)

It was my father who first told me that we each need to…

“GO to spread the Gospel – or if you can’t – then send a substitute!”

I often feel that the work we do at Inspiration Ministries is a lot like that too.

Don’t get me wrong. I would never try to equate our outreach with their bravery and courage. But there is a similarity in a spiritual sense in the way we’re spreading the Gospel all over the world.

Through cable television, satellite broadcast and digital streaming we’re bringing the message of Jesus Christ to people into some of the most spiritually dark corners of the world.

Places like the Middle East where it is punishable by death to preach the Gospel.

Places like North Africa where Islamic radicalism is rampant.

Places like the Former Soviet Union where depression and alcoholism are destroying lives.

Places like China where it is illegal to own a Bible and the church has to operate underground.

You may not ever be able to travel to the far corners of the world to share the love of Jesus with someone desperate for a healing touch from God. But by partnering with Inspiration Ministries you are going.

Every day we’re the Tip of the Spear clearing the path so the lost and hurting can hear about God’s love and give their lives to Jesus. We’re going to places where even missionaries can’t go.

We’re producing original Christian programming, partnering with other ministries from all over the world, and using modern technology to reach the ends of the earth.

Through the work of Inspiration Ministries in more than 190 nations of the world someone…somewhere…makes Jesus the Lord of their life approximately every two minutes.

Someone’s father, someone’s mother, husband, wife, sister, brother, son or daughter…every two minutes.

Praise God!

But there are so many who still need to be saved.

Over two billion people today have never…not once…heard the name of Jesus.

It’s not that they have rejected him. They are just waiting to hear that Jesus died for their sins for the very first time!

We are in a war for the eternal destiny of a soul.

But it’s not too late.

Just like a military recruiter I’m writing you this letter today to tell you that we need reinforcements if we’re going to win this battle.

Inspiration Ministries needs people like you who will help spread the Gospel all over the world.

People like you understand the spiritual war we’re fighting.

People like you know the power of being in partnership with God.

People like you have learned the truth that investing in the Kingdom of God is the best investment you can make.

Proverbs 11:30 tells us,

“He who wins souls is wise.”

It’s why Inspiration Ministries exists…TO WIN SOULS!

Before his death, Jim Elliot spoke some amazing words. In fact I personally think what he said are amongst the most profound words ever spoken.

Here is what he said before he gave his life for the sake of the Gospel.

“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep…

…to gain that which he cannot lose.”

Thank you and God bless you.

Your friend and partner to spread the Gospel,
