Are You Setting a Godly Example for Your Children?

Regardless of whether your children are young and still live at home or they are adults with lives of their own, by the example you set and the decisions you make, you are sowing seed into them that will produce a lifetime of rewards.

You can’t just “talk the talk” with your children; you must “walk the walk” before them! Your child will follow your example, not your words.

Even more, any hidden inequities — the sins you think no one knows about — will affect the lives of those you love for generations to come.

You can have God’s forgiveness, yet the hidden transgressions can adversely impact your children for years to come. The Word clearly states:

The Lord is slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness, forgiving iniquity and transgressions; but He will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations. (Numbers 14:18)

Today, ask God to help you live a blameless life before Him and your family. By the power of Jesus Christ living within you, you can set a Godly example and Sow Seeds of wisdom and righteousness into their lives.

Empowering the Next Generation

For your sake—but more importantly, for the sake of your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—you must be set free from any apparent or hidden bondage.

Today, confess your sin to God and cry out to Him for the power of His Holy Spirit to set you free by the Blood of His Son Jesus Christ.

Then ask God for His wisdom on what you need to do to be permanently set free so that your children and future generations will be empowered to walk in an obedient Covenant Relationship with Him!
