Your Father’s Day Blessing

Inspiration MinistriesBy Inspiration Ministries2 Minutes

If you are a father, you know what it means to love your kids. To pray for them and be a secure presence in their lives.

One of the most loving and patient parents in the Bible was the father of the prodigal son.

Despite years of care and nurturing, this Dad endured the painful abandonment of an ungrateful child.

Yet he continued to love his son even in the midst of this rebellion.

When the child finally returned to his senses and came home, this patient father lavished his love upon him.

And when his jealous older brother criticized the forgiveness shown by his father, this model parent taught him a lesson in gentleness and wisdom.

On this special day for Dads, I encourage you to remember your loving Heavenly Father – the model for the parable of the prodigal son.

Like this biblical father, know that He is kind, merciful, and caring – and that He loves you more than anything.

As we see from the lesson of the prodigal son, we don’t have to be perfect, but we DO need this vital relationship with the One who is.

Rely on Him for everything and know that you can always call on Him whenever you need His loving touch.

I am praying for you today, asking God to reveal His father heart to you in a special way.

No matter what you are facing this Father’s Day, remember, your Father in Heaven loves you with an everlasting love.

God bless you,
