What God Has Given You

Under Joshua’s leadership, the Israelites crossed the Jordan into the Promised Land. Each tribe had been given territory to possess. Some tribes established firm control. But several tribes failed to conquer their lands and never experienced the full victory God had planned for them.

God had warned the Israelites that they needed to drive out the land’s inhabitants or else “they shall be snares and traps to you, and scourges on your sides and thorns in your eyes.” He already had given the land to them (Joshua 23:13). But these Israelites did not have the faith, conviction, or determination to believe God for victory.

Many Christians are like these Israelites. God has given them His Word, packed with power and wisdom. He sent Jesus to die for them, and to give them authority over the enemy. He sent His Spirit to be their Counselor. Yet many fail to experience victory, content to accept a life filled with compromise, snared by the things of this world.

Today, remember that God already has given you everything you need for victory in your finances, relationships, health, and every part of your life. But He also gives you the opportunity to decide how to respond.

Don’t neglect the victory He has prepared for you! Commit your life to Him. Every situation. Every need. Every problem. Seek to know His Word, and put it into practice. Have faith and believe Him for the protection and power, guidance and wisdom. Don’t allow the world to be a snare, or accept anything less than God’s best. He already has given you victory. March forward boldly today!
