Miracle Resurrection

Daily Devotional2 Minutes

Jesus’ miracle resurrection paved the way for our victory in Him.

“Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said.”Matthew 28:5–6 NASB

Today, many in the world want to remove the supernatural elements from Easter. They want to make it nothing but a cultural holiday, a time for parties and dinners, games and lighthearted fun, a day of special outfits and ceremonies, or even a season of sales.

For the Christian, however, this day is the ultimate expression of God’s supernatural intervention in human history. On this day, the impossible became possible, and Jesus was raised from the dead!

When Jesus rose from the grave, He unleashed spiritual dynamite. His death and resurrection destroyed the hold of Satan, gave us unquenchable hope, and shattered the barriers separating us from God.

Concerning the resurrection, Paul wrote, “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins” (1 Corinthians 15:17). He prayed that we might “know the power of His resurrection” (Philippians 3:10), and encouraged, “If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you” (Romans 8:11).

That same power is available to you today! God can give life to your mortal body. He can give you health, power, wisdom, resources, and breakthroughs that seem impossible!

Celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. His resurrection power is real, and He still performs miracles today.

Reflection Question: Reflect on what Jesus’ bodily resurrection means for you today.
