Light in the Darkness

Light in the Darkness

Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would bring about a powerful transition for those who walk in darkness. These were people imprisoned with darkness that gripped their minds and hearts. It cast a shadow over their lives felt through relationships, thoughts, and emotions.

This darkness bound them with sin and disease, fear, and financial problems. It exposed them to demonic forces and deception and caused them to place their hope in the pleasures and rewards of this world.

Today, millions of people still live in darkness – men and women, old and young, people in every nation and all races, singles and families, rich and poor, in farms, and ghettos. They are so accustomed to the darkness that it seems normal, the only way to live.

But everything changes when they “see a great light.” Their world suddenly becomes clearer. They can see the truth about their own lives and the world. They realize how to be free from their burdens and have a life of joy and peace.

This Christmas season, dedicate yourself to spreading the light of the Gospel. Remember that Jesus is the “Light of the world” (John 8:12). But He also said that we became “the light of the world,” with a testimony that can impact others (Matthew 5:14).

There is no greater gift than to help others make Jesus the Lord of their lives and find the true Light. Make this your goal!
