Healing Power

Daily Devotional2 Minutes

Jesus’ resurrection provides healing power for our sins.

“Let it be known to … all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by this name this man stands here before you in good health.”Acts 4:10 NASB

After being filled with the Holy Spirit, Peter realized that a new kind of power was suddenly available to him. Speaking in Jesus’ name, he had authority. Mighty miracles could take place!

Seeing a sick man at the temple gate, Peter said, “In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, walk!” The result was immediate. Peter “grasp[ed] him by the right hand … raised him up; and immediately his feet and his ankles were strengthened. And leaping up, he stood and began to walk; and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God” (Acts 3:6–8 NASB).

The news of this miracle spread throughout Jerusalem. People were amazed. Peter wanted everyone to know that the man was healed because of the resurrection power of God.

That same power is available to you! All who believe in Jesus have access to resurrection power through His name and the presence of the Holy Spirit. No matter who you are, you can have immediate access to God through prayer because of Jesus. His power is real and available. He’s waiting for you to ask and believe.

Today, seek God regarding your problems. Believe Him for the outpouring of His resurrection power into your life. He wants to heal you, touch you, strengthen you, and give you wisdom. Place your faith in Him. With God, no problem is too great, and nothing is impossible.
