God’s Timing, Your Trust

There are seasons when answers don’t come, and “God’s Timing, Your Trust” speaks to that place—learning to follow Him faithfully even when understanding must wait.

“In the latter days you will understand this” (Jeremiah 30:24).

God had revealed His plan to Jeremiah knowing that he wouldn’t completely understand all of it. True understanding would follow “in the days to come” (NLT). At that moment, Jeremiah simply needed to obey God and receive His Word. Jeremiah might have wanted to know the full meaning, but the Lord wanted Jeremiah to trust Him and be willing to deliver His messages by faith.

Daniel went through the same process. After receiving several prophecies, he admitted that he “did not understand.” So he asked God, “What shall be the outcome of these things?” God told him, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end” (Daniel 12:8–9).

God wanted Daniel and Jeremiah to know that He didn’t expect them to understand everything. Their responsibility was to obey Him, be faithful, and trust Him.

His message to us is the same. He wants us to seek Him: “Get wisdom; get insight” (Proverbs 4:5). But we also must remain humble—ready to act in faith, trusting and obeying Him regardless of the limitations of our knowledge and understanding.

God’s timing is perfect: “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven […] He has made everything beautiful in its time” (Ecclesiastes 3:1, 11). As you seek Him, trust that He will give you the understanding you need … at just the right time.
