God’s Eternal Plan

The Bible makes it clear: God is Israel’s defender. We see this in the crisis they faced “when Israel went forth from Egypt” (vs. 1-2). God delivered them and showed that His power is so overwhelming that He can turn “the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of water.” Nothing is impossible for Him!

As we think about world conditions, we need to remember that He has an eternal plan for Israel and the world. And He will fulfill this plan. We are reminded about another time when some doubted that His prophecies would be fulfilled. But He promised that His vision was “yet for the appointed time…it will not fail.” It may tarry for a season, but “it will certainly come” (Habakkuk 2:3).

Today, God’s vision for the nations is hastening toward the appointed time. He will accomplish His purposes. To people in the world, His plans may seem impossible. But God is never limited, and nothing can stand in His way – not nations or armies.

Right now, remember to pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6). Remember that God has a plan for the world and your life. He can turn rocks into pools of water and flints into fountains of water. He can provide for you and protect you. Dedicate yourself and your resources to God and His kingdom. And pray that the Gospel might be preached in all the world.
