Daily Praise

Daily Devotional2 Minutes

Are you ready to offer daily praises to God?

“They are to stand every morning to thank and to praise the LORD, and likewise at evening, and to offer all burnt offerings to the LORD, on the Sabbaths, the new moons and the appointed festivals.”—1 Chronicles 23:30–31 NASB

Because David believed that praise was so important, he required the Levites to focus on God with a time of thanksgiving and praise to Him every morning and evening. Beginning and ending their day by worshiping the Lord was not optional, but a central part of their lives!

David also called attention to the importance of God’s appointed days when special activities were required, and special offerings were to be made by the Levites. This was another critical part of their ministry.

We all need these habits in our lives. We need to start our day by seeking God in prayer, praise and worship, reading His Word, listening to His voice, and expressing our thanks for all He has done. The Bible tells us, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courtyards with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name” (Psalm 100:4 NASB).

We need to remember to end each day in the same way, giving God our devotion and presenting offerings of thanksgiving and praise to Him.

Make a daily habit of praise, worship, and thanksgiving a central part of your life, and it will help keep you focused on God. It will give you the right attitude toward your work and everything else you face. It will help you understand God’s perspective and secure His priorities. Praise will lead to a life spent in God’s presence—filled with His blessings.
