Always True

Daily Devotional2 Minutes

“In hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.”—Titus 1:2

We say we trust God but still struggle with doubt. This issue strikes at the core of our faith. We are challenged to trust Him regardless of the circumstances, no matter what we see or hear.

In every moment, we need to remember that God “cannot lie.” By definition, all His words are true! His way is “perfect,” and all His promises are true (2 Samuel 22:31).

Paul told Titus about the “hope of eternal life which God … promised before time began.” We can know that this promise was true because God “cannot lie.” There could be no questions or doubts. No exceptions.

Doubts and questions may still enter our minds. But we need to realize that they are based on our own weaknesses and limits. We need to be confident in God and His Word.

Just think about the promises He has made. He promised to meet our needs (Philippians 4:19). He promised that all things would work together for good (Romans 8:28). He promised to protect and provide for us. He gave us His Holy Spirit to be our Comforter and Guide. He gave us His Word, authority, and power.

All these promises and more are true for you. Banish doubt and fill your mind with God’s promises. Remember, He cannot lie. Each promise is true. And they are true for you! Now and forever.

Reflection Question: Write out one of God’s promises that’s especially meaningful right now.
