Standing on God’s Word

Standing on God’s Word means building your life on an unshakable foundation. When you trust His promises above your feelings or circumstances, you can face life’s storms with confidence and strength.

Choose to Believe God to Fulfill His Word

During my years of ministry, I’ve been amazed at all the different things people put their confidence in. They will trust in their church traditions, their doctors, the advice of their friends, the ideas of a TV host or author, or simply their own wisdom.

Meanwhile, Jesus told us that the only way to build our lives upon a reliable foundation is to listen to His Word and put it into practice (Matthew 7:24-27). This requires more than casual effort, because we must dig deep to lay our foundation on solid rock (Luke 6:46-49).

On a bright, sunny day, it might not matter what kind of foundation your house has. But storms will come, testing what your life is built upon. Is your life storm-proof—or built on the sand of human traditions?

Choosing to Believe God

The Bible describes faith not only as a gift from God (Romans 12:3, Ephesians 2:8) but also as a choice. Proverbs 3:5 reminds us: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.”

This means you must decide daily: Will you believe God’s promises—or depend on your own reasoning instead?

As someone who has witnessed supernatural healings on nearly every continent, I can assure you that God still heals today. Whether you need physical healing or emotional restoration, His miracle-working power is alive.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11).

Faith and Patience

People often ask me why their miracle seems delayed. Although not every situation is the same, the Bible teaches that breakthroughs require both faith and patience (Hebrews 6:12). Sometimes God is working in His perfect timing. Other times, our understanding of His Word must grow deeper.

Like the persistent widow (Luke 18:1–8), we must “pray and not lose heart,” crying out to the Lord until the answer comes. Remember: you are not powerless. Use your spiritual authority, keep standing in faith, and trust God to fulfill His Word.
