The Difference

“Now the LORD said to Abram, ‘Go from your country, and from your relatives and from your father’s house, to the land which I will show you.’” – Genesis 12:1 NASB

The Bible provides an honest account of Abraham’s life, including his mistakes and moments of doubt. Even though he was imperfect, God used and blessed him because he was willing to obey God and live by faith.

When God called him, He did not reveal any details about the journey ahead. Abraham did not know his destination, how long the journey would take, or what challenges he would face. He was just called to move forward by faith.

He had to leave his homeland and everything he knew, dedicating everything he had to follow God. Then, and only then, would God show him the land.

Abraham arrived at his destination years later. God kept His promises. He directed him, protected him, and blessed him – all because Abraham was willing to live by faith.

The Bible assures us that God has a plan and destiny for each of us, but, like Abraham, we must be willing to step out in faith and put our faith into action. We too need to be willing to move forward day after day, even when we cannot see clearly what lies ahead.

Are you willing to step out in faith? With your decisions? Your priorities? Your money? Your family? Your time? Remember, God has a destiny and a direction just for you. Live by faith. Let Him lead and guide you and show you the way He has prepared.
