- Your Appointed Time for a Turnaround

Your Appointed Time for a Turnaround
“My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the
Passover with My disciples at your house.” – Matthew 26:18
How would you respond if Jesus audibly told you to meet Him at a certain time and place in order to receive incredible miracles and breakthroughs in your life? Would you make sure you went there…and were on time? I think you would!
Well, we actually don’t need an audible voice, since the Bible already has told us about special “times” when God wants to intervene in our lives in miraculous ways. The Feasts of Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles are described in Exodus 23 and Leviticus 23 as three of God’s “Appointed Times” when supernatural blessings and turnarounds are abundantly available from Him.
God instituted the Feast of Passover when He led His people out of slavery in Egypt to begin their journey to the Promised Land, “a land flowing with milk and honey” (Exodus 13:3-5).
What an amazing turnaround! From slavery to
freedom. From poverty to prosperity. From the land of
“Not Enough” to the land of “More Than Enough”!
Just as God supernaturally intervened to bless the children of Israel during Passover, He wants to stretch out His mighty hand to bring you into His land of abundance today.
Whatever turnaround you need in your life—healing, deliverance, protection, a financial breakthrough, or a restored relationship—your special season of blessings can begin when you honor God and celebrate the Feast of Passover as He asked.
An Everlasting Ordinance
Perhaps you’re saying, “But David, you don’t realize how difficult my circumstances are or how long I’ve been waiting for my breakthrough.”
Yet consider this, my friend: For 430 years, the Israelites were held as slaves in Egypt. That’s a long, long time to wait to be set free! Before they could possess their Promised Land, they had to break free from the enemy who was holding them captive.
Their breakthrough came on a night called
Passover…and it changed the world forever.
On that fateful night, the Death Angel visited Egypt, killing the firstborn of all those who weren’t protected by the blood of a spotless lamb sprinkled on their doorposts as God had commanded. Only the Israelites, God’s Chosen People, were spared. They were “passed over” by the angel of death.
Passover is the oldest continuously observed feast in existence today, celebrated for 3,500 years. That shouldn’t be a surprise, for God made it clear this “Appointed Time” was to be celebrated FOREVER!
“This day shall be to you a memorial; and you shall keep it as a feast
to the Lord throughout your generations. You shall keep it as a feast
by an EVERLASTING ORDINANCE” (Exodus 12:14).
Now, why do you suppose Passover is so special to God that He wants us to celebrate it forever? The answer is amazingly simple: Passover is a prophetic picture of God’s only Son, Jesus Christ, who would one day come into the world to give His life on a Cross to forgive your sins and mine. Remember the words of John the Baptist when he saw Jesus?
“Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world” (John 1:29).
So, the wonderful truth is that God’s “Passover Gift” to you and me is His Son, Jesus, who sets us free from our bondage and enables us to receive His blessings!
Seven Passover Blessings
In Exodus 23, God promises seven specific Passover Blessings to those who will obey Him, celebrate Passover, and come before Him with a special Passover Offering:
1. He will send an angel before you to guard you.
2. He will be an enemy to your enemies.
3. He will bless you with provision.
4. He will remove sickness from you.
5. There will be no miscarrying or barrenness among you.
6. He will fulfill the number of your days, and you will not die early.
7. You will become fruitful and take possession of the land.
Would you like to claim these amazing promises over your life? As you come before the Lord with your Passover Offering, exercise your faith to believe God will release His Passover Blessings in your life!
The Bible teaches that the Passover Offering is to be in addition to what we give to God as our tithes, gifts, and “freewill offerings” (Leviticus 23:37-38).
So, here’s what I’m asking you to do…
Ask the Lord about the specific Passover Offering
He wants you to Sow during this Passover season.
Remember, it’s when we release the Seed in our hands that God releases the Harvest in His hands. Whenever we take a step of faith and obedience, we give God the authorization to fulfill His promises to us in His Word. So…
- Will you join me in obeying God’s Word and celebrating Passover, taking a step of faith to observe this Holy Day with a special Passover Offering to honor Him?
- Will you Sow a significant financial Seed today and make an eternal investment into God’s Kingdom to reach the Lost around the world?
Conditional Promises
Your Heavenly Father loves you and wants to step into the circumstances of your life with a supernatural turnaround today! But while God loves you unconditionally, His
promises and blessings are tied to your obedience. Throughout the Scriptures, you’ll find God saying, “I’ll do this…if you’ll do that.”
Referring to the Covenant Blessings offered during the Feasts of Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles, Deuteronomy 16:16 says, “None shall appear before the Lord empty-handed.” Yes, God put conditions on His promises.
The celebration of these three feasts represents a cycle of giving and receiving between God and His people…a cycle of Seedtime and Harvest. From Passover to Pentecost…from Pentecost to Tabernacles…from Tabernacles back to Passover—the Israelites obeyed the Lord and experienced a wonderful rhythm of His supernatural blessings.
As God’s people were obedient to bring their special offerings to Him during each feast, the Lord fulfilled His Covenant Promises listed in Scripture until the next feast time—when they once again brought their special offerings to God, and He once again blessed them for another season.
The Israelites KNEW that if they obeyed the Lord…kept His commandments…and came before Him during these rehearsals with a special offering, they could depend on God to keep His promises to bless them.
Of course, Scripture is clear that God is the rightful owner of everything in Heaven and on earth (Psalm 24:1, 1 Chronicles 29:11). But there was something very special about the offering God commanded them to bring during these feasts. He said it was to be in addition to their tithes, pledges, and vows (Leviticus 23:37-38).
In fact, in the original Hebrew text, God commands them to do something very unusual. He tells them to bring Him the “unholy” offering. Unholy…Lord, how can that be?
You see, the tithe already belongs to God. It’s not ours, but His. He calls the tithe “holy to the Lord” (Leviticus 27:30). In contrast, when God says to bring Him the unholy, He means we shouldn’t just bring Him what already “belongs” to Him. He wants us to bring Him an offering from the 90% He has allowed us to keep—that which “belongs” to US!
Your Time Is Now!
Whether you need a breakthrough in your health, finances, emotions, or relationships, NOW is God’s Appointed Time to come to your aid—if you obey Him.
However, many Christians are being robbed of God’s intended blessings because they think the Old Covenant promises don’t apply to them anymore. This is a tragic misunderstanding of Scripture. God still promises that if we obey Him, He will protect us, guide us, provide for us, heal us, and keep us!
By faith in Jesus Christ, YOU have access to ALL the Covenant Promises the Lord made to His covenant people Israel. Galatians 3:9 says all God’s promises to Abraham are yours!
So take a step of faith and obedience…come before God to honor Him with your worship…prepare Him a special offering…then trust that your amazing season of miracles and blessings is at hand!
God has made an appointment to meet with you…
to speak to you…and to bless you!
Obey Him, bring Him your special offering, and
experience a new dimension of Covenant Living!
God Bless You,
