Well, praise the Lord, child of God. It’s good to be with you again today. My name’s John Avanzini and I want to welcome you to Strengthen Your Walk.

You know, the Bible says, “I’m crucified with Christ…” Not He was crucified for me, but you were crucified with Him. “Nevertheless I love; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me. And the life in which I live I live in the flesh, by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” You were crucified with Christ.

Now read Ephesians 1:4. You’re not a newcomer to God. It’s not like God all of a sudden got introduced to you when you got born again. According to Ephesians 1:4, “He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world…” He’s been expecting you. When you came to Christ, it wasn’t like “Wow, you showed up.” He’s been waiting for you. He’s been waiting for you to come and be a part of His plan and that we should be holy without blame before Him in love.

God says He has plans for you – big plans. Let me read to you about them from Jeremiah 29:11, but first let’s take a moment to digress. When I first got saved, I showed up to the church and I kind of thought, “Well, what’s the plan?” I join the choir. Well, what’s the plan? We’re going to a youth camp. So, we’ll go to youth camp. But I came to find that those were the plans the church had for me.

But there are plans that God has for you. They’re exciting, powerful plans. It says in Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV), “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future.’” Jeremiah 1:5 goes a little bit further and says, “Before I formed you in your mother’s body, I chose you. Before you were born, I set you apart to serve Me.”

Can you get a hold of that? God has plans for you. He’s been waiting for you anxiously through the years. He’s been waiting till you made that decision for Him. And then, yes, the good plans of the church get involved with whatever’s there. But please know this, He has specific plans for you. And they’re not plans to hurt you. They’re not plans to cause you a problem. They’re not plans to inconvenience your life. He wants to bless you and fulfill it and take you on a great adventure.

All you have to do is say, “Lord, here I am. Use me. You decide what we’re going to do. No holds barred. You make the decisions.” And God says, “Okay, hold on tight because we’re going places.”

Thank you so much God, for loving us that way and blessing us and letting us have this wonderful opportunity of knowing that you have plans for us.

Thank you. God bless you.
