Looking Ahead: God’s Laws Will Brighten Your Future

Inspiration MinistriesBy Inspiration Ministries4 Minutes

When you’re stressed or burdened by the circumstances of life, find comfort in knowing that God has given you a wonderful gift – the ability to look ahead. Even if your situation seems dark and cloudy, as a child of God, the future holds a promise of victory!

To embrace the promise of those brighter days, you must simply do what Jesus did — when faced with the ultimate horror of the crucifixion, Jesus lifted His head and focused His attention toward the joyous day that was ahead of Him:

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross. (Hebrews 12:2)

Instead of feeling defeated by your present situation, focus instead on how Jesus’ constant view of the future made it easier for Him to endure the pain and suffering of being crucified. In that same way, when you look toward your future, you’ll gain strength to overcome any crisis you’re going through, whether it’s related to your finances, family, health, or anything else that is clouding your optimism.

Keep in mind that it’s God’s nature to hold in reserve the best that He has planned for you. The distractions you may be going through at present don’t have to be permanent. With the right attitude and commitment toward your loving Heavenly Father, these challenges will soon be nothing more than an unpleasant hurdle that you successfully crossed!

Say this to yourself: God always saves the best for last. He will help me out of this dark time and give me a better life.

The Laws God Created

God created spiritual laws that determine who will live a life of abundance and who will remain poor. This doesn’t only apply to your finances – it can be abundance or poverty in your health, your family, your job, your relationships, or any other area of your life.

These laws were authored by the same God who created the law of gravity. An apple will always fall to the ground. Likewise, all of God’s laws work every time they’re applied.
One of the laws of facing the struggles before you simply states that if you are lazy, or if you do not want to understand your task, then your fields will not bring forth abundance in the area you seek fruitfulness:

I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding. And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down. (Proverbs 24:30)

The keys to move past any challenge you face is to first fully understand and acknowledge what it is, and then to ask God to apply His laws toward a solution. You must trust God to help you out of the dark time. This requires the right attitude and commitment toward your loving Heavenly Father.
