Your Turning Point

Your Turning Point

When things look bad, hope says, “It’s going to be all right.” But I’ll admit, sometimes it’s hard to understand why you’re going through a storm or trial. You say to yourself, “I’ve been faithful to the Lord, so why this is happening to me?”

As you read this, maybe you feel that life is passing you by. Despite experiencing success in some areas of your life, perhaps you’ve faced agonizing defeat in others.

However, I’m convinced that every difficult storm can take you to higher ground. Noah passed through a torrential downpour, but the flood took him higher until his ark landed on Mount Ararat (Genesis 8:1-4).

Moses was near burnout and in a very difficult place. But God promised to show him His goodness and glory “in the cleft of the rock” (Exodus 33:19-22).

The apostle Paul was in the confines of a Roman jail. Yet he wrote about his contentment and encouraged believers to “rejoice in the Lord always” (Philippians 4:4).

When Paul and Silas were imprisoned in Ephesus, it was midnight when they sang praises that triggered an earthquake from God (Acts 16:25-26). In the same way, I see the Lord bringing an earthquake into your prison, perfectly designed to set you free from your negative circumstances.

Friend, I think you’ve reached midnight – the turning point of days. This is your time for change…for a turning of the tide. As you praise God, He will enable you to escape from the dungeons of your past.

Today, God wants to ignite a burning optimism about your future – overwhelming hope that overcomes past fears and failures. As you declare, “Enough is enough!” the chains of your past will give way to a glorious new future.
