A Powerful Vision
Our new “Moments” videos are based on a powerful Biblical principle: An encounter with God can transform a person’s life in a mere moment!
Since the early days of INSP in 1990, David Cerullo wanted to create “a new brand of inspirational television.” Instead of being mere “keepers of the aquarium,” like most Christian TV had become, David sought to use media to regain the role Jesus gave us: to be fishers of men.
It was clear to David from the beginning that this would never be accomplished through traditional preaching and teaching programs alone. Romans 10:14-15 raises the important question: “How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent?”
Accordingly, David Cerullo has always asked, “How will they hear if they won’t watch? Most unbelievers don’t watch Christian TV. Their hand is on the remote control, ready to turn the channel to something they perceive as more entertaining and engaging.”
Winning Souls Through Media
Inspiration Ministries believes the media is the most powerful tool we have to reach the Lost. Nothing has shaped society more in the past 50 years than TV and the Internet, powerfully influencing people’s values, beliefs, behavior, and relationship with God.
Lost people are not watching television in order to be preached to. To reach them we must use compelling, entertaining, and engaging programming that can gain and hold their attention, touch their hearts, and allow them to see their need for salvation.
This strategy is a marathon, not a sprint. It will take time and resources to go beyond entertaining programming…beyond our compelling one or two-minute stories…and beyond leading people to go further on their spiritual journey by accessing the evangelistic content on our websites. But together, thanks to you, we are taking a bold new step in this evangelistic initiative.
