Ready to Do God’s Will

Jonah admitted he had “lost all hope.” There, in the belly of a great fish, he had an opportunity to reflect on his life and wonder how he had come to that point of hopelessness.

Looking back, everything became clearer. He realized that he had rejected God’s direction and followed his own path, confident he knew best. But he recognized that he had made many mistakes. He knew that the only way to find fulfillment was to seek God, change course, and follow Him.

In some ways, God may allow each of us to go our own way, so we can see what happens when we reject His plans. In these moments, looking at our lives, we can realize that God does know best and why we need to trust Him.

What is the answer? How do we find meaning and purpose? By turning to God. Even if, like Jonah, we have gone our own way, we still can renew our commitment to do His will.

Today, remember that God knows what you have done and what you face. Spend time reflecting on your life. You may feel you have “lost all hope.” You may have failed or fallen short. But remember that God can turn any situation around and give you a second chance.

Call on Him. Seek His guidance. Remember, He is ready to help and provide what you need.
