God’s Indescribable Preparation

As we think about the world, our hearts can be torn by the impact of sin. How much this world needs the Gospel! People are hurting. Marriages need to be restored. Many need God’s peace and to be delivered from fear! Many live in poverty and need protection from violence! At the same time, we can be caught up in our own problems.

Sometimes it can be hard to realize the glorious plans that God has for “those who love Him.” But Paul said that God has prepared something so wonderful he could not even begin to describe it!

We cannot even conceive of the wonders! Nothing we have ever seen could possibly prepare us for His designs! God has done something so far beyond our comprehension that it is greater than any thought we have ever had!

The Greek word here translated “prepared” suggests that process of getting ready. Making necessary preparations. Think about this: God already has made wonderful, indescribable things ready for us, and made all the necessary preparation for us to experience these glories into eternity!

As Jesus told His disciples, “I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:1-3).

Right now, pause to take your mind off the situations you face. Stop thinking about your problems and focus on the great things God has already prepared for you! If you love God, you have so much to look forward to. Someday—perhaps someday soon—you will see the place He has prepared for you!
