God Keeps His Promises

As the Israelites approached the Promised Land, they were reminded of God’s promise that He would bring them victory; He would help them defeat every adversary; they would possess the land. But the closer they came to this land, the more they realized the size of the obstacles before them. They knew that victory would require many miracles. Some doubted that this was even possible.

Yet, at the end of his life, Joshua could remind them that God had kept His promises: “Every one was fulfilled” (NIV).

However, this moment of triumph was short-lived. God’s promises remained true, but the Israelites failed to remain faithful and vigilant. Because of their doubt and disobedience, they would experience defeats and eventually lose control of the land.

In the same way, many people read God’s promises and wonder if they really are true. Even some Believers are not sure if God keeps His Word.

The Bible makes clear that God is prepared to fulfill each promise. But we cannot take His blessings for granted. We must know His Word and believe it to be true. Then we need to act, moving forward by faith and obedience.

Today, declare this simple truth: “God’s promises are true for me.” Don’t let doubt keep you from experiencing His blessings. Move forward by faith, constantly trusting Him. Be faithful and obedient; He will keep every promise!
