Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Just think about it! God has created each of us! He does not know us in a superficial or general way. He knows everything about us! Every detail of our history. Every thought and action. Our sins and mistakes. He created our “inmost being” and knit us together in our mother’s womb.

And He knows our decisions, both right and wrong. He knows what we faced when we made those decisions, and why we made them. And He knows what influenced us.

Truly we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” This is the miracle of creation. He did not just create the world. He has been involved with each life of each person since before we were conceived!

But what is even more amazing is that He cares about each of us. That He loved us so much that He sent Jesus to die for us that we might be forgiven of any sins we might commit!

There are times when we might be discouraged, worried, or afraid. Facing trials and uncertainties, we might wonder if there is any hope. At these times, our thoughts can turn to the wonderful promises of this psalm. To remember that He intimately knows us and every situation we face. To remember that His works are wonderful, and that He will work everything out, even the things we do not understand.

These are truths we should know “full well,” with no doubts and total confidence!

As you draw near to Him in prayer, trust in Him to reveal more of His plans and purposes for you. Grow in your relationship with Him. As you rest in Him, let Him deliver you from fear and worry. Let Him encourage you. He has a plan for your life, and His ways are always right.
