A Pure, Unpolluted Faith

According to a recent research study, most Americans acknowledged that religion is important to them. But more people are willing to adopt any teachings or beliefs that satisfy their personal interests, regardless of their origins, or implications. In fact, 36% said that “they have combined the teachings or philosophies from more than one religion into their own observances.”

These results reveal how important is to most people, but also confirms that many are willing to embrace any belief that satisfies their personal interests “no matter where that takes them.” In fact, 38% say the search for spirituality is more important than “adhering to the specific teachings and traditions of a faith.”

Today, the influences from Eastern religions, New Age philosophies, and other non-Christian beliefs, have become more pervasive in our society. They are present in movies and books. They are encouraged by famous personalities. As a result, millions are being “led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ,” as Paul warned.

You, too, need to be on guard against the pull of these influences. Remember that Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me” (John 14:6).

There is no other Gospel. There is no other God but the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Commit your life to Him without reservation, and do not allow anything in the world to draw you away from the simplicity of your faith in Christ.
