God’s Rescue Plan

God’s Rescue Plan

The Israelites were in slavery in Egypt, in desperate need of a breakthrough. Perhaps you can relate.

In Exodus 6:5-6, God promised Moses that the hour of breakthrough was at hand:

I’ve also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage. And I have remembered my covenant. Therefore, say to the children of Israel, ‘I am the LORD … I will bring you out from all of the burdens of the Egyptians. I will rescue you from their bondage. And I will redeem you with an outstretched hand and with great judgments.’

Notice the three things the Lord said here: “I will bring you out … I will rescue you … I will redeem you.”

Friend, it doesn’t matter what you’re going through. When the Lord has spoken, He will watch over His word and bring it to pass. Every victory and turnaround in life begins with a word from the Lord.

Know this: God has heard your groaning. He is not oblivious to your situation. He feels your pain, sees your tears, and cares about your challenges. The Bible says God remembered His covenant toward the Israelites — and He remembers His promises for you as well.

When God assured Moses that He heard the cries of the Israelites, the Hebrew word for “heard” means “to be granted.” In other words, God not only has heard your petitions, but He wants to grant you the breakthrough you need as you hold on to His promises.

A New Day

The second thing God promised is, “I will rescue you.” No matter what kind of mess you find yourself in today, this can be your season to be rescued by God! The Lord will bring you out of your captivity, just as He did for the Israelites during Passover.

The last thing God said is, “I will redeem you.” Isn’t that exciting? With God it is never over unless He says it is over.

Psalm 30:15 says: “His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.” No matter how long your trials have lasted, I’m convinced that His favor is about to dawn in your life!

God fulfilled His promises to the Israelites, and He will do the same for you. Every promise will come to pass as you choose to put your trust in the Lord.

Hold on to God’s Word today. Believe His promises, and follow His instructions. When you do, you will see supernatural breakthroughs manifested in your life.

Don’t give up on God. No matter how dark the night has been, a new day is at hand. I declare a new season in your life in Jesus’ mighty name!
