Your Path from Famine to Abundance

We live in an hour of great shaking. The economies and governments of this world are being shaken, not just mildly, but violently. People are running this way and that, looking for answers … and for safety.

However, we don’t need to live in fear if our lives are built upon the solid rock of God’s Word (Matthew 7:24-27). Though the current shaking will bring great peril to those who place their hope in earthly security, believers have an opportunity to live for “a kingdom which cannot be shaken” (Hebrews 12:28, Matthew 6:33).

Yes, there are “perilous times” today (2 Timothy 3:1), and many of us are being severely tested in our finances, health, or relationships. But this provides a chance to sink our spiritual roots deeper into the soil of our covenant relationship with God.

Times may be tough for you right now, but remember … Your personal economy doesn’t have to be shaped by the world’s economy!

You see, God can faithfully meet your needs even when the surrounding economy looks bleak.

Despite being faced with a severe famine that caused most people to panic, Isaac trusted God to bless Him with a great harvest:

Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous (Genesis 26:12-13).

What a great picture of the abundance God wants to give His people today! A hundredfold return in a time of famine! Isaac “began to prosper,” … “continued prospering,” … and  “became very prosperous”!

It’s time to cast aside our unbelief and trust God with our lives and our resources. Like Isaac, we need to sow generous financial seeds even in times of fear and famine.

God tells us to test Him! How? With our finances: “‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,’ says the Lord of hosts” (Malachi 3:10).

If you obey Him “in this,” the Lord goes on to promise He will “open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.” Do you want such a life, marked by overflowing abundance? I know I do!

God then says, “I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes” (v. 11).

Friend, if the “devourer” has robbed you of God’s blessings in the past, I have good news: The Lord promises to “rebuke the devourer” and restore even greater blessings than you lost!

I am grateful for your faithful partnership to win souls through Inspiration Ministries, and we’re praying for God to give you a mighty breakthrough — from famine to abundance! We believe great things are ahead for you and for this ministry we share together.

God Bless You!
