If the title of this article caught your interest, then why not take a few moments to reflect on the following important questions:

  • Do you choose to withhold from God, or do you gladly give Him your offerings?
  • Do you choose to avoid discussing wise financial principles with your children, or do you teach them Scriptural principles of how to handle money?
  • Do you readily choose to live in the bondage of debt, or do you choose to operate on a budget and live within your means?
  • Do you choose to live just for the moment, or do you make wise financial investments and plan for the future—for things such as higher education, a Christian will, retirement, or even vacations?

Depending on how you answered these questions, you might benefit from learning more about God’s Biblical strategy for your finances.

God’s Principle of Seedtime and Harvest

Did you know that God has ordained a Scriptural principle for you to reap His financial harvest in your life? He designed the principle of seedtime and harvest for your good. It’s His plan for a lifetime of abundance—not a human invention.

After the flood, God made a promise to Noah:

While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease (Genesis 8:22).

This Divine law is a perpetual promise. It’s a vital key to unlocking your miracle harvest from God, whether it’s for financial breakthrough, physical healing, relationship issues, addiction, or more. You must plant a seed before any blessing can grow!

Any farmer will confirm this—if you want to reap a harvest, you must first plant seeds. If a farmer held onto his seeds, he would never benefit from a harvest.

The same principle applies to your financial and spiritual blessings. If you want to reap God’s harvests in your life, you must first sow the seed He’s given you!

What Is a Seed?

A seed is anything that God has given you that can grow into more. Seeds include your time, your love, your talent, your patience, your money, and your prayers. A seed, by its very nature, is a tiny beginning with a huge future!

In the case of a financial miracle, you must first plant a financial seed.

How God Responds

God responds with His harvest after you release the seeds you’re holding onto. Once the seeds are planted, He begins multiplying what you’ve sown.

Paul writes, “Whatever a man sows, this he will also reap” (Galatians 6:7).  This is true of whatever it is you’re sowing. You can’t sow hatred and expect to reap love. You can’t sow anger and bitterness and then wait for a harvest of peace and contentment.  You determine the crop! Whatever you sow, you will reap.
