Break Free from Financial Famine!

It seems that everyone has either been hit hard by the changes in the world’s economy or knows someone who has.

Some might even be calling the time we’re living in a financial “famine.”

Many have lost homes they worked for tirelessly to be able to own. Many have lost jobs they spent time and talent investing in. And many have lost careers they had hoped would carry them into retirement.

As a Christian, you might wonder, “Where is the abundance that God said was mine?”

Scripture tells us that your abundance is right where it has always been — firmly secure in God’s hand!

He has not broken His promise of provision to any of us. And we shouldn’t break our promise to Him, regardless of what is going on in the world around us!

No matter what your circumstances may be, you are a child of God and He wants to pour out amazing blessings in your life!

Jesus promises this in Luke 12:32:

“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

Your blessings will come to you when you remain committed to honoring His Word. God has shown this to us in His Word — He’s shown us how to release His incredible blessings!

Make Your Decision for Tomorrow

Every farmer knows that if he wants to reap continuously, he must sow continuously. Sowing and reaping is a cycle that must be maintained — both in the natural world and the spiritual.

In other words: The seeds you sow today will decide tomorrow’s harvests.

An example of this can be found in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7, where Paul says, “Remember this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”

What Paul is Teaching

When Paul uses the analogy of sowing and reaping, he is teaching about giving our resources. He may be talking about a farmer and his farm, but he’s really talking about how the Christian should give to the Kingdom of God!

When you understand giving as sowing, you’ll also understand that you should only expect an increase from your giving in proportion to what you sow.

In other words, if you sow generously, you will reap generously. If you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly.

You can look to yourself, the world, your job, your family, your friends, your church, or your government to be the source of your supply in response to the famine you are going through. Or you can obey God’s Word!

God’s Involvement

Remember: When you stay involved with what God has on His heart, He stays involved with what is on your heart!  Exercise your faith. Sow an Uncommon Seed and watch God step into the circumstances of your life with His Harvest Blessings!
